We had the privlage to investigate an undisclosed tb hospital. The owners asked us to keep the location private so we are unable to disclose the location.Â
This undisclosed hospital was established in 1910 to address the growing epidemic of tuberculosis. It served as one of the largest treatment facilities for TB patients in the region, providing isolation and care for individuals suffering from the highly contagious disease. At its peak, the sanatorium housed hundreds of patients and operated as a self-sufficient community with its own farm, power plant, and living quarters for staff and patients. Advances in medical science eventually led to the decline of TB cases, and by the 1970s, the facility had been repurposed before eventually closing its doors permanently. Today, the site stands as a reminder of a bygone era in public health and the struggles faced by those battling tuberculosis. It is estimated that 65,000 to 125,000 people passed away in this facility.Â
The hospital is also rumored to be one of Arkansas’s most haunted locations. Over the years, visitors and paranormal investigators have reported chilling encounters, including unexplained footsteps, shadowy figures, and the eerie sound of faint coughing in empty hallways. Some claim to feel sudden drops in temperature or a sense of being watched, while others have captured ghostly apparitions in photographs. Legends tell of restless spirits of former patients who died at the facility and staff members who devoted their lives to caring for the afflicted. These accounts have made the sanatorium a popular destination for those seeking a brush with the supernatural.
